I just upgraded a plugin. I had to enter my
configure
password 4 times. If I had been installing a plugin it would have been 5 times, with ever increasing numbers for each additional plugin.
Password is required at every step
- Launch configure
- Get more extensions
- Upgrade or install a plugin (no option to select more than one)
- Return to configure
- Enable and Next
repeat steps 2-4 for each additional plugin (and wait to enable all at once).
That's
N more password entries than necessary.
Once I launch configure and enter the password, set a timer. If the timer goes off before I leave configure, ask for the password again because the session is stale. If I leave configure, log me out. (Use
sudo
as an example).
When the password is requested repeatedly for every step, it risks convincing asdmins to change their password to something very short and easy to enter over and over again.

This needs to be fixed, it is annoying.
