The sidebar points now to
WebSearchAdvanced. I suggest to revert that to the simple
WebSearch since users expect a simple Google type search.
Also, the search result of the simple
WebSearch is now on top. I suggest to put that below the search form as it was before since users tend to do refine a search. The current form is vertically tall, too tall to put the search form at the top. However, an earlier version was just right:

What happens when javascript is not available? Do we care?

I made the simple websearch similar to the ui of the advanced search to present just one interface to the user, but I see the (spacy) downside of this. I can bring the old layout back.
Without javascript all Twisty contents is expanded. The downside to a twisty is that you'll always have to click it open - until we have it working with cookies.
But even then the main problem is the amount of room that the "Search where" block takes and this is not solved with Twisties.

I have put the 3 radio buttons on one line. This saves some space without having a totally different interface. SVN 7128. --

Default is still advanced search.

We are catering too much for programmers. The majority of TWiki users do not know what a regular expression is. TWiki's default should be simple, KISS. Google's home is very simple, advanced search is available for those who need it.
