in a particularly high volumne save session, I've noticed that rcs can get its knickers in a knot. when it does, sub _ci will throw an exception, leaving the ,v file locked.

this obviously leaves us in a state where the topic is no longer saveable, resulting in a not really helpful rcs error message.

I've got a fix set coded up, and am in the process of testing it. Marked as urgent so it gets noticed smile

Anything happening on this bug item that we need in 4.2.4 or is this a 5.0 targetted bug item?
