If a query type search is done
i.e. %SEARCH{"Category='Test'" type="query"}%
it work fine until over 150 topics are present in your web. Once 150 topics are reached, the search does not return anything.

I could not reproduce this - Glenn, prehaps you can tell us more about your setup?

I am running TWiki on Windows XP machine with Active Perl 5.8.8 Build 820 and Apache 2.2 (the Twiki 4.2 download from twiki.org). I don't believe I made any radical configuration changes. Is there anything specific you are looking for?

Glenn - thanks - it wouldn't surprise me if
XP was the specific.

I
think i've reproduced it (on windows), and will try to fix it for 4.2.1.. marked as urgent until its either fixed, or the release day comes.

looks like grep on windows is falling over - changing to use
PurePerl fixes it - though is probably slower..

ok, so I've found 2 bugs
- Forking Search algo builds the command line using 512 files - way more than windows copes with. (this issue)
- the command line for MyItems breaks - there are embedded and unescaped [^ ] chars in that topic that are ok on unix, and busted on Windows. see Item5849
