Detail

I didn't expect to end up with this in TML:

<P class=WYSIWYG_PROTECTED>%STARTINCLUDE%<BR class="">%EDITTABLE{...}%<BR class="">| *Name:* | *Type:* | *Size:* | *Values:* | *Tooltip message:* |<BR class="">| TopicGroup | select | 1 | Select one..., Management, Design, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Process | Classification of function |<BR class="">| TopicSummary | text | 80 | | Short summary of document |<BR class="">| RelatedTopics | text | 80 | | Links to related topics (keywords) |<BR class="">| ComponentCommodity | select | | | Component Commodity | |<BR class="">| TopicClassification | select | 1 | Select one..., AdministrationNote, ComponentHomePage, ProjectHomePage, ProcessDefinition, ApplicationNote, DesignIssue, QualityIssue, Specification | |<BR class="">%STOPINCLUDE%</P>

The above text was created by:

  1. Erasing all text in the topic
  2. pasting in the text below (that I copied from a Raw Edit window)
  3. selecting all text and changing style to protect
  4. saving the sopic:
My browser is IE6. Text pasted in:
%STARTINCLUDE%
%EDITTABLE{...}%
| *Name:* | *Type:* | *Size:* | *Values:* | *Tooltip message:* |
| TopicGroup | select | 1 | Select one..., Management, Design, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Process | Classification of function |
| TopicSummary | text | 80 | | Short summary of document |
| RelatedTopics | text | 80 | | Links to related topics (keywords) |
| ComponentCommodity | select | | | Component Commodity | |
| TopicClassification | select | 1 | Select one..., AdministrationNote, ComponentHomePage, ProjectHomePage, ProcessDefinition, ApplicationNote, DesignIssue, QualityIssue, Specification | |
%STOPINCLUDE%
OK, let's try pasting the same text again here:

Name: Type: Size: Values: Tooltip message:
TopicGroup select 1 Select one..., Management, Design, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Process Classification of function
TopicSummary text 80   Short summary of document
RelatedTopics text 80   Links to related topics (keywords)
ComponentCommodity select     Component Commodity
TopicClassification select 1 Select one..., AdministrationNote, ComponentHomePage, ProjectHomePage, ProcessDefinition, ApplicationNote, DesignIssue, QualityIssue, Specification

Hmmm, looks OK to me. Can you be more specific about where you pasted from (for example, a select in a word document will save clipboard data in a wide range of formats, and only by knowing the source can you work out the format of the paste).

If you can reproduce a problem with a documented set of steps in the LitterTray web that would be most helpful.

CC

Just checked to see if I can reproduce it still ....* no*: Item4561Test

  • the topic has to be empty when you paste in the text
  • the text is copied from Twiki raw edit. (Is there a way I can look at the save clipboard data?)

Maybe this was fixed in the last release?

I'm closing with "No Action Required"
