Detail

wysiwyg removes blank lines between two list items

In normal edit I can just hit enter to get a blank line between two list items:

 * item 1

   * item 2
But this does not work with kupu/wysiwyg. Use Case 1: I want to add a new item to a list

  • hitting enter once creates the new list item - fine
  • hitting enter twices starts a new paragraph - fine
Use Case 2: The existing list is to hard to read and I want to insert a blank line between two list items
  • hitting enter twices starts a new paragraph - fine
  • after topic save the blank line is removed - bad frown

If you move the cursor around, you will find that there is not a blank line between the list items. This is an artifact of the way WYSIWYG in the browser works. So, you might want to take on Firefox and Microsoft on this one; all WYSIWYG editors based on those browsed will work the same way

No action.

No, there is a blank line. See the attached screenshot.

Which editor are you using, Kupu or <nop>TinyMCE? I have definitely broken something in <nop>TinyMCE in the last day or so. All my line breaks are getting eaten. But Kupu seems to be behaving correctly.

  • Un
  • Deux

  • Trois
I just:
  1. Created a three item list using Kupu
  2. Positioned the cursor at the end of the second list item
  3. Hit return twice
  4. Saved the topic
And I got the above result; so it's working in Kupu. Not sure yet what is going on with TinyMCE. CC

The scrennshot is from kupu and the blank line was removed after topic save. Will check this once again with kupu when I'm back from rome.

List handling of <nop>TinyMCE was completly unuseable when I installed it yesterday so I had to disable it via configure. Afterwards kupu didn't load correctly and I had to remove all TinyMCE files to get kupu up and running again...

I'm closing this because I can't reproduce it on TinyMCE and Carlo should have been able to give some feedback by now.

Sorry, I was on holidays. I will open this report again in case I'm able to reproduce it...
