Detail

At the moment it is possible to isolate the rendering of a form field only during edit; there is no way to isolate it for rendering. This is a bug for several reasons:
  1. It is almost impossible to fully form fields, because they are rendered (differently) by bespoke code in several different places, with no agreed rules
  2. There is no way to override the default rendering e.g. to hide form field values, or provide conditional rendering of values

We need to refactor the forms code to support a renderForDisplay method in the FieldDefinition.
