It would be a big improvement to be able to check for topic names using IF.

For example:

%IF{"exists 'BlogComments'" then="topic exists"}%

And/or add a new %EXISTS{}% variable, returning 0 or 1.

if the %EXISTS variable exists, you can write:

%IF{"$ 'EXISTS{TopicName}'" then="topic exists"}%

So I'd favour %EXISTS rather than adding another function to %IF.

Setting to confirmed.

TWiki/IfStatements tells me that it is implemented as istopic

This is marked as "Waiting for release", but there is no check-in and since January (when it was marked as "Waiting for Release") we had 4.2.1... By now, I'm cleaning "WaitingFor" field.
