Is there an easy way to turn of WYSIWYG editing of selected topics? Some TWiki:TWikiApplications need to be left alone, and only the admin should edit selected topics with WYSIWYG. Ideally this should be done with a preferences variable set in the topic.

Please document if this is possible.

If you

  • Set COMPOSER =
it will disable WYSIWYG for that topic. (from SVN 8322)

Where should this be documented? There doesn't seem to be a logical place, to me (though COMPOSER is described in TWikiPreferences)

Thanks, CC! - I've been missing this one smile

It works but in a confusing way because the WYSIWYG buttons are still there. They just work like normal edit.

I would not touch that so close to release. So probably an enhancement candidate. Disabling plugin can be done but only through URL as far as I know.

Agreed, better not to touch too much code at this point. This is now "just" a visual issue.

I would document how to disable the editor in the Plugin topic in the limitations section, the most likely place administrators go to look if somthing turns out sour after a topic save.
