According to EditTablePlugin, the best way to have it working is to create a symbolic link from viewauth to view. But... doing this is not enough, since with the default installation instructions (twiki_httpd_conf.txt), the symbolic links are not followed in the bin/ directory.

Since EditTablePlugin is recommended (if not installed by default), I'd recommend adding, in the default httpd config file, FollowSymLinks at the end of the line Options +ExecCGI.

I must admit I don't understand why this symlink is not in the TWiki distribution. Conclusion : I must be wrong somehow wink Note that SVN >= 1.1 supports symlinks.

Where are you reading this in the "Default installation instructions"?? Do you mean in the template httpd.conf?

CC

I mean in the twiki_httpd_conf.txt at the root of the SVN. Maybe I have not checked enough, and the doco explains this.
